On October 1, the Armenian Institute of International and Security Affairs (AIISA) hosted a joint roundtable titled "Examining the Armenia–U.S. Strategic Agenda Amidst Regional Developments." The event was organized in cooperation with the Pacific Council on International Policy.

The high-level 10-member delegation of this influential American institution, currently on a regional visit to Georgia and Armenia, was led by the former U.S. Ambassador to Armenia and current President and CEO of the Pacific Council, Kristina A. Kvien. The delegation comprised the Council’s leadership team as well as leading representatives from various sectors within the organization's network, all aiming to gain a deeper, on-the-ground understanding of regional developments and the dynamically expanding Armenia–U.S. bilateral agenda.

In his welcoming and opening remarks, AIISA Founder and Director Styopa Safaryan expressed his gratitude with the long-standing, productive partnership established with Ambassador Kvien. He outlined the Institute’s extensive activities against the backdrop of the dramatic and challenging developments faced by Armenia and the Armenian people in recent years. Safaryan placed special emphasis on the qualitative upgrade in Armenia–U.S. relations—moving from a strategic dialogue to a strategic partnership and the Washington agreements. He highly commended Ambassador Kvien's diplomatic legacy and highlighted the Institute’s modest contribution to this ongoing process.

At the request of the American delegation members, the AIISA expert team delivered a detailed presentation on the core factors driving the diversification of Armenia's foreign policy, as well as the dynamics, formats, and potential trends regarding the involvement of influential regional actors.

The co-organizers of the roundtable—Styopa Safaryan on behalf of AIISA and Krista Seitz, Associate Director of Programs, on behalf of the Pacific Council—highly praised the discussions and reached an agreement to maintain an active dialogue and future cooperation, including through online formats.
